Clothing Vouchers

We also offer Clothing Vouchers to neighbors through The Closet Closet. Clothing vouchers provide neighbors with clothing from our thrift store, The Clothes Closet. Through this program, the Parish House meets a basic need for our neighbors.

Once a month, neighbors can receive a Clothing Voucher which can be used for one (1) outfit for every member in their household. If a neighbor is in need of household items (sheets, blankets, cookware, air mattress, etc.), they can request these items through our Food Pantry.

How to Request Assistance

To confirm that you're a residence of Upshur County, please bring the following to your first visit:
  • Name of everyone in the household.
  • Proof of Address such as a utility bill, lease agreement, etc. that has your current Upshur County address.
  • Social Security Card for all members of your household. Used to verify identity. Will NOT be copied or entered.
  • Proof of Income like a DHHR/SNAP letter or paystub to verify eligibility
Other demographic information may be collected in subsequent visits to better understand and support our community by providing targeted food assistance. Information sharing is optional and neighbors may opt-out at any time.
