Crosslines is a vital program operating under the Upshur Parish House, dedicated to assisting low-income residents during emergency situations. The program offers a range of services, including food, clothing, transportation, and financial assistance for housing, utilities, and medical needs.
Established as part of the Upshur Cooperative Parish, Crosslines functions as an ecumenical ministry, bringing together various faith communities to serve the needs of Upshur County residents.

How it Works
Through Crosslines, the Parish House can make a pledge on a neighbor's behalf directly to a utility company or landlord. Assistance is provided on a sliding scale that changes over time, depending on the last time the neighbor received assistance. For example:
We work closely with other community organizations and churches to ensure all portions of a pledge are met before payment is made.
- After 6 months, a neighbor is eligible for $100 in assistance
- After 12 months, a neighbor is eligible for $150 in assistance
- After 18 months, a neighbor is eligible for $200 in assistance
